Macadamia Nuts - An Aussie Icon!

Macadamia Nuts - An Aussie Icon!

  • Native to Australia and taste great! Especially with a touch of extra flavour.
  • Source of Thiamine, important for energy metabolism and nervous system function.
  • Macadamias contain the most monounsaturated fat  of all tree nuts.
  • They are a good source of manganese a mineral needed for many of the body’s functions, including fat and carbohydrate metabolism,
calcium absorption, and blood sugar regulation.
  • Macadamia nuts are a source of niacin, which is important for growth and releasing energy from food.
  • A handful of macadamias (30g) contains around 2g of dietary fibre – similar to the amount in a slice of wholemeal bread. And the soluble fibre in macadamias acts as a prebiotic, helping feed beneficial gut bacteria.
  • Macadamia oil contains high levels of palmitoleic acid, an omega-7 fatty acid known to have anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Macadamias are naturally low in sugar and sodium.
  • You just need 30g of nuts daily...which equates to 15 Macadamias approx.
  • Nungra Nibbles range of moreish Macadamias flavours include Honey Roasted, Butter Candy, Garlic, Smoked Hickory and Salted Chilli.
