CANUNGRA locals Brett and Eve Littlemore are banking that a hobby that they recently turned into a growing online and direct sales business will one day be their main source of income.

They are the founders of Nungra Nibbles which makes a selection of beef jerky in numerous flavours.

“Around two years ago I started playing around making beef jerky and 50 batches later I thought I had finally had the process just right,” Brett said.

“I gave some to friends and work colleagues and they encouraged us to make more and to start selling it to the public.

“We took their advice and in March we went live with an online sales website and since then our small Nungra Nibbles has continued to grow.”

While they don’t sell from their own retail premises their products are available at a number of local outlets including My Country Escape, Black Bird Pies, Mumma Ducks Sweets and Treats at Tamborine Mountain and O’Reilly’s Vineyards.

“”One of our biggest pushes has been to embrace local markets and we often can be seen at Canungra, Jimboomba, Rocklea and on the Gold Coast at Broadwater Parklands,” Brett said.

“Our products are now attracting regular buyers at the markets and once again the feedback has been strong.

“Our business exists to make beef-based nutrition easy with a high standard for quality, nutrient-density and taste from locally farmed beef.

“By using 100% grass-fed meat, prepared with an air-drying method, our jerky is guaranteed to retain its vital nutrients.
